It’s an honour to be in Kyiv today standing by the side of President @ZelenskyyUa. Just as the Netherlands has stood shoulder to shoulder with the Ukrainian people for years now. Because they are not just fighting for their own freedom and security, but for the freedom and security of Europe as well. For our European democratic values and standards. Their fight is our fight too. Ukraine deserves our full support.
Providing energy support and strengthening Ukraine’s air defences are major priorities and we are hard at work with our international partners to achieve these aims. At the same time, efforts are ongoing to secure a just and lasting peace. We see that Ukraine is taking a constructive approach, but all Russia is doing is putting impossible demands on the table while continuing its aggression with full force.
So it’s also up to us as Ukraine’s allies to stand firm. To remain vigilant. And to avoid getting distracted.
