In the Netherlands, we earn a large part of our income thanks to a strong Internal Market. There are still plenty of opportunities to strengthen our economy. This is also necessary to secure an even stronger position for Europe on the world stage.
This evening, I spoke with other European leaders during a video conference about EU competitiveness. Key steps we need to take in this regard are to combat unnecessary regulatory pressure, improve the capital market and ensure affordable, sustainable energy. This is a top priority for our government, both nationally and at EU level.
