Today I spoke with Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman al-Saud of Saudi Arabia about the latest developments regarding the conflict in and around Iran, and the recent escalation.
I expressed my solidarity with Saudi Arabia. Iran must cease its attacks on the civilian infrastructure of the Gulf states, including oil and gas installations. It is also of the utmost importance that Iran lifts the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz as soon as possible.
Finally, we spoke briefly about the strong and historic ties between our countries and agreed to remain in contact in the coming period.
