The United States is an important ally for Europe and the Netherlands and crucial with respect to our security and prosperity. This morning I welcomed the US ambassador to the Netherlands, Joe Popolo (@usambnl).
Naturally we discussed the latest developments in the Middle East and the war in Ukraine. We also looked ahead to next month’s US visit by King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima, on which I will be accompanying them for part of the time. I look forward to a strong working relationship with Ambassador Popolo.
