⚡️Zelensky: 'The territory where Russia should protect the rights of Russian speakers is Russia itself.' A country where there is "no freedom of speech, no freedom of choice, no right to dissent, where poverty thrives and human life is worthless," Zelensky said of Russia.
⚡️ Russia warns Czechia against supplying weapons to Ukraine, Prague says won't respond to blackmail. Russia claimed that the Czech Republic isn’t allowed to provide Ukraine with Soviet-made weapons without Russian permission. Czech Defense Minister brushed off these claims.
⚡️Zelensky reacts to train station attack in Kramatorsk: “Lacking the strength and courage to fight with us on the battlefield, they (Russians) are cynically destroying the civilian population. This is an evil that has no limits. And if it is not punished, it will never stop.”
⚡️Zelensky about Russia's war crimes in Ukraine: "Concentrated evil has come to our land. Murderers, butchers, rapists, looters, who call themselves an army and who only deserve to die after what they have done," Zelensky said.
⚡️ Lithuania becomes first EU country to ban Russian gas. Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda said that starting in April, the country will not import Russian gas. He added that other European countries should follow the Lithuanian example.
⚡️ US President Joe Biden said that Russian President Vladimir Putin should no longer lead Russia. “For God's sake, this man cannot remain in power,” he said during his speech in Warsaw.
⚡️Zelensky to NATO: Don't say Ukraine's army doesn't meet Alliance's standards. In a virtual address to NATO, President Zelensky said that he has one demand. “After such a war against Russia… Please, never, never again tell us that our army does not meet NATO standards.”
⚡️Ukrainian troops liberate Makariv.  The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on March 21 that “the Ukrainian flag was raised over the town of Makariv” and Russian forces have been pushed back. Makariv is located 60 kilometres west from Kyiv.
⚡️Russian social media VK allegedly hacked, spreads truth about war in Ukraine. Users of VK have received messages from the social network’s official account informing them of the true casualties and impact of Russia’s war against Ukraine, according to screenshots posted online.
⚡️General Staff: Russia loses tank detachment in failed Kyiv assault. According to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian army’s 6th tank regiment has been destroyed on March 20.
⚡️Ukraine’s military intelligence claim that Russia’s elites scheme to overthrow Putin to restore economic ties with Western countries. Aleksandr Bortnikov, head of FSB security agency, is allegedly being considered as Putin’s successor, according to Ukraine's intelligence.
⚡️Zelensky: "We now have a chance to show not only to Russia, but also to any aggressor in the world, any terrorist state that war will destroy not the victim, but the one who unleashed it." President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the citizens of Switzerland on March 19.
At the end of his address to the U.S. Congress, Zelensky switched to English: "Today the Ukrainian people are defending not only Ukraine. We are fighting for the values of Europe and the world, sacrificing our lives in the name of the future."
⚡️ The Hague sets date for ruling on Russia's war. Ukraine is requesting that Russia be ordered to end its war and withdraw troops from the country. The International Court of Justice will issue a ruling on March 16.
⚡️ Russian state TV interrupted by "No War" protest. During the “Vremya” news program on Russia’s main TV channel, Maria Ovsyannikova, a Channel One employee, rushed in front of the camera with a poster saying “stop the war, don’t believe the propaganda.”
⚡️Russian troops no longer in southern city of Skadovsk. The city’s mayor, Oleksandr Yakovlev, said the situation in Skadovsk is under control and there is electricity, gas and water supply.
⚡️Zelensky: Sergeant Inna Derusova is the first woman to be awarded the Hero of Ukraine title posthumously. A field medic, she was killed during the artillery attack on Okhtyrka on Feb. 24, the first day of Russia's invasion. She saved more than 10 soldiers that day.
⚡️Italy seizes $578 million mega yacht owned by sanctioned Russian oligarch Andrey Melnichenko. The vessel, called “SY A,” is one of the largest superyachts in the world, according to its manufacturer, Nobiskrug.
⚡️Zelensky: "After the war, we will rebuild everything very fast and very well. Every city that was affected will get a special development program. There will be the best architects, the best companies, the best projects for every city."

⚡️Zelensky urges Poland, US to decide on logistics of sending fighter jets to Ukraine immediately. “Listen, we have a war! We do not have time for all these signals,” Zelensky said. “It’s about human lives! We ask once again: Solve it faster. Do not shift the responsibility.”

⚡️ Poland to supply the U.S. with its entire stockpile of MIG-29 jets, free of charge. The planes are then expected to be shipped to Ukraine. The Polish government asked other NATO members to follow the country’s example.
⚡️Zelensky: "While Russians are to blame for the killings, responsibility is shared by those who for 13 days in their Western offices haven’t been able to approve an obviously necessary decision, who didn’t save our cities from these bombs and missiles – although they can."
⚡️President Zelensky signs decree on March 8 recalling Ukrainian peacekeeping forces to defend Ukraine. The decree declares that all soldiers and equipment dedicated to U.N. peacekeeping operations must return to Ukraine to assist in the war effort.
⚡️Ukraine kills Russian Major General Vitaly Gerasimov near Kharkiv, Ukraine’s Chief Directorate of Intelligence of the Defense Ministry said. Gerasimov was a senior military official who participated in the second Chechen war and was awarded a medal for “capturing Crimea.”
⚡️Ukraine’s air defense forces shoot down Russian aircraft over Kyiv. Soon after that, at 9:10 p.m., another Russian plane was destroyed in an air battle on the city’s outskirts, according to Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerіy Zaluzhny.

⚡️Hacking group Anonymous interrupts Russian state TV programs with footage of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine and an anti-war message. It claims to have accessed TV channels “Russia 24”, “Channel 1”, “Moscow 24”, & streaming services Wink and Ivi.

⚡️Cyprus forbids 5 Russian navy ships from mooring and refueling in Limassol. Cyprus banned Russian ships from its port following EU sanctions over Russia’s war, Philenews reported.
⚡️Russian forces kill Hero of Ukraine, captain Chybineiev. Thirty-four-year-old Ukrainian captain Valeriy Chybineiev was killed in the battle near Hostomel, a city on the outskirts of Kyiv, on his birthday on March 3.
