칼레드 알-아나니 유네스코 사무총장님께서 부산에서 열리는 세계유산위원회에 참석해 주셨습니다. 우리는 그간 대한민국과 유네스코가 함께 쌓아온 협력과 앞으로의 발전 방향에 대해 뜻깊은 대화를 나눴습니다. 대한민국은 유네스코와 깊은 인연을 이어왔습니다. 6·25전쟁 직후 유네스코의 지원으로 설립된 교과서 인쇄공장은 매년 3천만 부의 초등학교 교과서를 공급하며 우리나라 교육의 토대를 마련했고, 나아가 교육을 통한 성장과 발전을 이루어 냈습니다. 이러한 경험과 역량은 이제 대한민국이 국제사회와 나눌 수 있는 소중한 자산이 되었습니다. 앞으로도 유네스코와 긴밀히 협력하며 인류 공동의 번영과 지속가능한 미래를 위해 책임 있는 역할을 다하겠습니다. It was a great pleasure to welcome UNESCO Director-General Khaled El-Enany to Busan for the World Heritage Committee session. We had a meaningful conversation about the enduring partnership between the Republic of Korea and UNESCO, as well as the path we will continue to build together. Korea shares a deep and longstanding bond with UNESCO. In the aftermath of the Korean War, a textbook printing facility established with UNESCO's support laid the foundation for our nation's education by producing more than 30 million elementary school textbooks each year. That support helped Korea achieve remarkable growth and development through the power of education. Today, the experience and capabilities we have built have become valuable assets that Korea can share with the international community. We will continue to work closely with UNESCO and play our part with dedication and responsibility in advancing our shared prosperity and building a more sustainable future for all. @UNESCO_DG
