마크 루터 NATO 사무총장님의 초청을 받아 NATO 정상회의가 열리는 튀르키예로 향합니다. 지난달 G7 정상회의에 이어 이번에는 NATO 무대에서 세계 평화와 안보를 위한 대한민국의 역할을 더욱 넓혀가려 합니다. 얼마 전 사무총장님께서는 "한국을 사랑한다"며 우리 방위산업 기반이 "환상적"이라고 평가해 주셨다지요. 전쟁의 폐허를 딛고 나라를 지키기 위해 흘린 수많은 땀방울이 오늘날 세계가 인정하는 경쟁력이 되었다는 것이 참으로 자랑스럽습니다. 오랜 시간 국제사회의 도움을 받던 대한민국은 이제 세계평화와 안보에 책임 있게 기여하는 나라가 되었습니다. 국민 여러분께 더 큰 자부심을 안겨드릴 수 있도록 이번 순방 역시 최선을 다하겠습니다. 튀르키예에서 다시 소식 전해드리겠습니다! ​@SecGenNATO At the invitation of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, I am heading to Türkiye for the NATO Summit. Following last month's G7 Summit, I intend to further expand the Republic of Korea's role in global peace and security on the NATO stage. ​Not long ago, the Secretary General said he loves Korea, and praised our defense industry base as "fantastic." It fills me with pride that the sweat and tears shed to defend and rebuild our nation from the ashes of war have forged the world-class strength we see today. ​The Republic of Korea, which for a long time relied on the assistance of the international community, has now become a nation that responsibly contributes to global peace and security.
