#ICESCO’s Education Sector participated in the official launch of the Regional Coordination Mechanism for Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) in the Arab region, held under the theme “From Coordination to Collective Action.” Organized by the #UNESCO Regional Office in Beirut, the event forms part of ICESCO’s efforts to strengthen its institutional presence and engagement in regional platforms for dialogue and coordination on the future and priorities of education in the Arab region. ICESCO was represented at the virtual event by Mr. Houcine Labidi, Expert at the Education Sector. According to the presentations delivered during the event, the mechanism aims to align national and regional priorities, facilitate the exchange of expertise and best practices, strengthen youth participation, and support the development of inclusive and resilient education systems. The mechanism also seeks to convene regular meetings, intensify regional consultations, and prepare for the upcoming Arab Regional Meeting on Education Development. These efforts are intended to accelerate progress towards SDG 4 and lay the groundwork for the global education agenda beyond 2030. @UNESCOBEIRUT
