🔹#ICESCO participates in the 16th UN- @OIC_OCI Biennal General Coordination meeting, hosted in Astana, the capital of #Kazakhstan, from July 22 to 24, 2024, at the headquarters of IOFS The meeting aims to provide a platform for reviewing and evaluating the progress achieved between the OIC, the UN, and their affiliated bodies and agencies, in areas of common interests. 🔹ICESCO is represented by Mr. Anar Karimov, Head of the Partnerships and International Cooperation Sector, and Dr. Fahman Fathurrahman, an expert in the science and environment sector. Mr. Karimov delivered a speech in which he reviewed the organization’s strong cooperation with the UN institutions and the OIC, pointing to ICESCO’s efforts in its fields of work, including: #EducationForAll, protecting heritage, and promoting #science, to contribute to confronting climate change, health crises and food security. 🔹The ICESCO delegation also held separate meetings to discuss future cooperation opportunities and move forward in implementing the proposed joint activities between ICESCO and the relevant institutions. @Anar_Karim @UN
