So, a thousand Russian tanks were driving along, driving and driving down a perfectly good concrete highway toward Kyiv at 48 miles per hour. Then suddenly they spotted some farmland, turned off the highway on the orders of some mysterious idiot general, and all got stuck in the mud after the heaviest rainfall in ten years. In February. In northern Ukraine. Otherwise, they would have captured Kyiv and ended the war in three and a half, maybe four hours. And here we are, nearly five years later. Still no Russian tanks in Kyiv. Or Chernihiv. Or Kharkiv. Or Dnipro. Or Kherson. But Russia is a big country and Ukraine isn't, so obviously Ukraine must surrender. What part of this is so hard to understand??
