In his previous “op-ed” on how “Ukraine is losing the war,” this shining light of journalism simply spent five minutes cherry-picking convenient snippets of random people’s personal takes from Twitter, stripped of the slightest bit of context, even misidentifying the people he was quoting and not even bothering to contact them. Then he threw in the vaguest, completely unprovable claims pulled out of thin air, like, “if the Ukrainian Armed Forces want to mobilize 30,000 people a month, that means the real losses must be higher than officially reported,” and “the Russians say they’re going to produce 10,000 missiles soon” -- and that was it, call it a day, job’s done, Ukraine has lost. Oh, really? And then this garbage gets picked up and spread all over Ukrainian Telegram channels. People think it is some kind of insider information from respected Western media outlets rather than a lazy, low-quality op-ed with a sensational headline, and suddenly you get insane “bombshells” and doom quotes pulled completely out of thin air.
