You can keep coming up with the most astonishingly generous “peace plans” imaginable in hindsight — from Russia giving up on everything except the corridor to Crimea and all the way to Ukrainian troops marching into Moscow — that those stupid, stupid, stupid Ukrainians somehow “refused to accept” because “corporate global elites,” “NATO expansion,” and “Zionist junkie actor.” None of it has anything to do with the reality on the ground, or with what Putin actually wants and what he would settle for: the complete elimination and occupation of Ukraine.
