Since 2019, we have awarded more than $341 million in infrastructure and workforce development grants all over Florida through the Job Growth Grant Fund. So far, these investments have created nearly 45,500 new jobs and supported more than 34,000 workforce education opportunities—with many more in the pipeline. Today, I announced the latest Job Growth Grant Fund award of $9 million to the City of Pensacola for the site development and construction of two new boatbuilding facilities. These facilities at the Port of Pensacola will create thousands of new jobs in maritime manufacturing and ensure that Florida’s proud history of building ships for our country lasts for generations to come.
