Great to be in Lee County today to kick off the new school year for Florida students, teachers, and families. Thanks to our landmark reforms, Florida continues to lead the nation in educational excellence.   We have made historic investments in school safety, teacher pay raises, civics instruction, and workforce education, all while ensuring that schools stay focused on education—not indoctrination.   As Florida families get ready to go back to school, we look forward to another great academic year ahead. I’m grateful to the teachers, school leaders, resource officers, and families for all you do to help students succeed and thrive.
