I had the honor to visit and inaugurate the building of the @WHO Global Training Hub for Biomanufacturing in Incheon, Republic of #Korea this week. Started in 2022, Global Training Hub for Biomanufacturing is an initiative to address global vaccine inequities highlighted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The trainings, such as on biomanufacturing and biological development, can help enhance local production capacity in low and middle income countries. Over 4,000 participants from more than 100 low and middle income countries have already received training at the hub, mainly in biomanufacturing and biological development. As of November, 2000 participants will receive state of the art training each year. Together, we are building the skilled workforce needed for sustainable local production, equitable access and stronger health security.
