.@WHO is calling for urgent support for health systems affected by the conflict in the Middle East across 5 countries – Lebanon, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Iraq, the Syrian Arab Republic and Jordan.
Hostilities have caused mass displacement (over 4 million) and rising casualties (3300 killed and 30,000 injured).
This appeal will support:
-essential health services and trauma care
-disease surveillance and early warning systems
-mass casualty management and national readiness for chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear emergencies
