South Africa joins people across the world in welcoming His Holiness Pope Leo’s return to the Vatican following surgery. We wish His Holiness a full and comfortable recovery that will allow him to continue his life of service and spiritual leadership to Catholics and humanity at large. Our appreciation extends to the medical staff who managed Pope Leo from diagnosis to discharge, and we pray that the Pope’s recovery will bring reassurance and peace to many who are presented with similar diagnoses. Pope Leo remains in our thoughts and prayers.
