We’re on the hunt, we’re after… supersymmetric dark matter 🎵 In a recent study of proton–proton collision data from Run 2 of the #LHC, the @ATLASexperiment provides the most comprehensive overview of its search for supersymmetric particles. The study gives us a better understanding of which supersymmetry models have not yet been probed. The theory of supersymmetry suggests that there may be partner particles for each of the known fundamental particles. These partner particles could address shortcomings in current scientific knowledge, such as the source of #darkmatter or even the relationship between the various forces of nature.
