I was honoured to be received by H.E João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, President of the Republic of Angola in Luanda today. Our discussions focussed on the upcoming AU Summit of Heads of State where President Lourenço will take up the annual Chairmanship of the Union. We also discussed matters of Continental concern. I also took the opportunity to bid him farewell and thank him for his strong support during my tenure.
