Working people are tired of billionaires and giant corporations raking in more money while we’re left scraping for crumbs. Join the 463,000 workers who unionized last year. Organize, mobilize, demand your fair share and take back your power! aflcio.org/formaunion
We don’t usually defend bosses. But when a bad boss goes after THE Boss and our union brother? We won’t stand for it.
From rocket engines to the launchpad, we’re so proud of the IAM Union members who make spaceflight possible. 🚀🌖
Good luck to our NASA siblings tonight who are making the Artemis II launch to the moon happen!  They’re leading the charge in scientific research and discovery on Earth AND in orbit – and their @IFPTE and @AFGENational union contracts should be restored. 🚀
Today I spoke at the PA State Fed Constitutional Convention, where union leaders and delegates came together to chart the path forward for Pennsylvania workers. Workers are fed up with an economy that isn’t working for them and we’re turning that frustration into power.
Congratulations to Angela Ferritto and Maurice Cobb on being re-elected President and Secretary-Treasurer of @PaAFL_CIO! We look forward to continuing our work together and fighting for working families in Pennsylvania ✊
Shoutout to members of District Council 7 who are currently working with students in Wisconsin, teaching them painting skills. Knight Construction is a program at Oak Creek High School where students go on-site and learn how to build a home from the ground up.
Today at the 47th Constitutional Convention, the PA AFL-CIO reelected its officers, President Angela Ferritto and Secretary-Treasurer Maurice Cobb. Together, they will continue to lead the PA AFL-CIO's work advocating for the working class at the state level. ✊
It’s another Open Cup week….and while the spotlight is on the matches, the reality off the field hasn’t changed. Players are still pushing for the professional standards. So the question remains:
Do you stand with the players, @ussoccer? #StandUpForStandards
Birthright citizenship is a core protection for working families. As the Supreme Court hears arguments today on this case, America’s unions will fight to protect the 14th Amendment and every right that strengthens our democracy, our labor movement and working people everywhere.
A huge congratulations to our @nwsl_players sisters at Denver Summit FC and the Washington Spirit for the largest crowd in U.S. women’s pro soccer history! More than 63,000 fans filled an NFL stadium on Saturday and set a new bar for the game.
No matter what industry you work in, every working person will feel the impact of AI, including those in transportation jobs. @TTDAFLCIO President Greg Regan is right: we need guardrails to make sure this new tech doesn’t undermine our safety and protects our rights and our jobs…
America’s working people are struggling to make ends meet. They’re tired of President Trump putting billionaires ahead of working people. That’s why millions showed up to #NoKings rallies across the country—to take back their power and fight for a future where we ALL do better.
We are proud to stand with the workers of the Sesame Workers Union to celebrate one year of being a union and to demand a fair first contract! The workers make the workshop - fair contract now!
Corey Cahill, a painter from Local 265, District Council 14, loves his trade because he knows he’s contributing to something bigger than himself. Our members build the apartments, businesses, hospitals, and schools that make our communities run! We appreciate all you do.
It was great to be back in Pennsylvania to join workers from across the state for the @PAAFL_CIO convention today. If we stand in solidarity together, working people can come out on top and create a future and economy that works for all of us, not just the rich and powerful.
Solidarity with our friends at @SesameWorkersU as they rally today to celebrate their one year anniversary, and fight for a fair contract that addresses pay inequality and gives them the dignity and respect they deserve. U is for union!✊
On Trans Day of Visibility, America’s unions celebrate our trans union siblings, and stand in solidarity with the transgender community in the fight for economic and social justice, and welcoming and safe workplaces. Trans rights are human rights!
Today we recognize the many farmworkers whose labor sustains our nation. Their work is essential to every community. They deserve fair pay, safe working conditions and the dignity and respect that come with a voice on the job.
Farmworkers have been organizing for and winning critical rights for decades. On Farmworkers Day and every day, America’s unions celebrate them and stand in solidarity with them in their fight for economic and social justice.
This is great news! After the Trump admin ripped away Temporary Protected Status for 300,000+ workers from Haiti, @RepPressley’s discharge petition will force a vote to extend TPS for Haiti! Thank you Rep. Pressley for standing with working families ✊
Portland is a union town, and working class people showed up and filled the streets to demand that we get a voice at the table. Workers run this country, not billionaires. #NoKings
Care workers have been sounding the alarm about the dangers of understaffed nursing homes—for the health and safety of workers and seniors. Congress must pass the Safe Staffing Saves Lives Act to make sure safety in nursing homes never takes a back seat to corporate profits.
Match after match, players are coming together at the center circle to continue our stand for something bigger than the game. A single message carried across every match: fair wages and professional standards aren’t optional. They are the baseline. #StandUpForStandards
Women of labor are strong leaders, community organizers, and skilled workers. We are proud to represent these women, and millions of others, who keep our country moving safety and efficiently. Happy Women's History Month!
A new week is a new opportunity to hold management accountable. At RWDSU, we don't just wait for things to get better; we organize to make them better. Whether at the bargaining table or on the shop floor, we stand as one. ✊
Across the country yesterday, America’s unions were loud and clear: we won’t bow to President Trump’s billionaire-first agenda. Working people are rising up and fighting for a future where we ALL do better. #NoKings
There are no kings in America. When working people come together, we can stand up to bosses and politicians, and rewrite the rules so our country works for working people, not the rich and powerful. #NoKings
Shuler: No kings is about standing up to the guy in the White House. But no kings also means tearing down an economy built for billionaires and instead building it up for working people—more money in our pockets, because no one in the richest country on earth should struggle to
