Salah Sarsour, a Palestinian immigrant, green card holder and the president of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee, has been locked up in an ICE jail since late March. His lawyer says the charges against him — stemming from a "terror" conviction by Israeli authorities decades ago when he was a teenager — are "just a pretext for silencing folks for their pro-Palestinian advocacy."
