Following the @COE ministerial declaration on the role of @ECHR_CEDH, @volker_turk reiterates the need to support the court’s independence, impartiality and interpretative authority, & the crucial role of national and regional courts in upholding human rights standards. He encourages States to uphold the values of the European Convention, and of wider international human rights & refugee law.
