.@volker_turk welcomes the announcement of the deal to release over 1,600 detainees in #Yemen – the largest agreed since the start of the conflict – which will bring much needed relief and hope for a lasting peace. He urges building on this progress and moving to release immediately and unconditionally all UN, humanitarian, civil society & diplomatic personnel arbitrarily detained by the Houthis. The UN and its staff must be able to perform their vital humanitarian and life-saving work, and their privileges and immunities fully respected.
