As part of ongoing efforts to improve sanitation conditions and support the humanitarian response in the Gaza Strip, 10 major requests submitted by the international community for the entry of essential equipment and supplies were approved for immediate entry: 📌66 chemical toilet units for UNFPA. 📌3,000 mobile restroom units for use in shelters, for UNICEF. 📌3,600 liters of engine oil to operate sanitation infrastructure, including pumping stations and sewage suction pumps, for ICRC. 📌20 water distribution kits, including flexible water bladders and distribution taps, for ICRC. 📌42 pallets of plastic pipes and fittings for connection to water and sewage networks, for UNICEF. 📌1,090 units of pest control supplies for UNDP. 📌200 water bladder units, with capacities of 2,000 and 5,000 liters, for ICRC. 📌Pumping and water-flow piping for coastal water and sanitation projects, for ICRC. 📌668 mobile restroom units for use in shelters, for UNICEF. 📌20 water quality testing kits for turbidity testing, for IOM. @cogatonline continues to coordinate and facilitate these vital operations in support of essential infrastructure and public health in the Gaza Strip, as part of an ongoing effort to improve WASH infrastructure while helping ensure that humanitarian assistance reaches its intended beneficiaries and is not diverted for exploitation by Hamas.
