More than two and a half years after the October 7 massacre, a new community named Ofir is set to be established in southern Israel 🇮🇱 It will be named after Ofir Libstein, head of the Sha’ar HaNegev Regional Council, who was among the first to defend his residents on October 7, and was murdered protecting his community. The town will include 500 homes, schools, shops and community facilities, a symbol of resilience, growth and renewal. 🌾💙
