Ending #DRC’s Ebola outbreak will require sustained and close collaboration and coordination among all health and humanitarian partners to help the government and community overcome the health emergency. I discussed this with dozens of partners in Bunia, the Ituri province capital, and thanked them for their commitment to supporting the response to the outbreak. We agreed that all efforts must be taken to ensure unhindered access to supplies and personnel needed by health and humanitarian organizations, and that travel controls and border closures were already impacting their arrival of essential materials for their work in DRC. We also stressed that humanitarians working in the field must be able to perform their duties with safety and without fear of violence. Working together, quicky and in a coordinated manner will help us achieve our common goal to stop Ebola.
