Even without vaccines or specific therapeutics, people can survive #Ebola disease caused by the Bundibugyo virus if they receive timely healthcare and seek treatment as soon as symptoms appear.
@WHO and many partners are supporting the establishment of Ebola treatment centres in #DRC. Yesterday, I witnessed the opening of one such centre in Bunia, which will ensure that patients in the community can access lifesaving care.
Together, we will stop this outbreak.
