Productive meeting with Foreign Minister Mohieldin Salim Ahmed Ibrahim on the health and humanitarian situation in #Sudan. We agreed that the violence must stop, that civilians and health workers must be protected, and that access for humanitarian aid must be secured and sustained. I assured the Minister of @WHO's commitment to continue supporting delivery of essential health services and to strengthen the health system. We also agreed that sustained collaboration across Africa was needed to prevent cross-border outbreaks, from meningitis to Ebola, and to maintain essential health services amid declining development aid.
