Met with Prime Minister @LucFrieden on the sidelines of the #AIforGood Summit. We agreed that artificial intelligence has enormous potential to transform health, and that the future of health is increasingly digital. I shared more about @WHO's work to advance the Digital Health strategy, including our efforts to help countries strengthen AI governance, build regulatory capacity, and promote trustworthy and transparent AI for health. I also used the opportunity to brief the Prime Minister about WHO’s work on emergencies - the hantavirus outbreak that just ended and the #Ebola response in the DRC, as well as the ongoing negotiations on the Pandemic Agreement Annex on Pathogen Access and Benefit Sharing.
