The Islamic regime in Iran executed Mehdi Farid, a 48-year-old former employee of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), on charges of spying for Israel's Mossad.
Farid was reportedly the head of the civil defense committee within the AEOI, a position the Iranian judiciary claimed he used to gather and transmit sensitive information to Israeli intelligence.
Farid denied all charges during and after his trial.
