Deputy Security Council Chairman Dmitry Medvedev is trying to reassure Russians that the Kremlin will not announce a new wave of mobilization.
According to him, 127,000 people have signed contracts with the Russian Armed Forces since the beginning of the year. Another 10,000 have joined volunteer formations.
Medvedev stated that 450,000 people signed military contracts in 2025 alone.
In March, he claimed that troop recruitment was proceeding at a “quite decent pace” and that a new mobilization was not required.
