🇬🇧 British police have arrested two teenagers over an attempted arson attack on the Kenton United Synagogue in northwest London
A 17-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man were detained after a “firebomb”, a bottle containing accelerant, was thrown through a window into a medical room. The fire caused minor smoke damage, and no injuries were reported.
Counter Terrorism Policing is investigating whether the suspects are linked to a group with ties to the Iranian Islamic regime.
The incident is part of a series of recent arson attacks targeting Jewish sites in London.
Police also reported an attempted arson at a business linked to the Jewish community on Friday, and earlier arrests were made over another synagogue attack last week.
In a separate incident last month, ambulances belonging to the volunteer emergency service Hatzola were set on fire in Golders Green.
