A Kaliningrad resident committed self-immolation in protest against the war. City authorities covered it up for over a year.
The incident only came to light after a report by Estonian Foreign Intelligence.
According to the report, a 37-year-old Alexander Okunev, on the third anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, wrote “No to War” in the snow next to a Soviet soldier monument and then set himself on fire.
His body was found early in the morning, after which authorities quickly removed it and concealed all information about the case.
