🇫🇷 Telegram Founder Pavel Durov: France, under the leadership of Emmanuel Macron "is losing legitimacy"
Elon Musk has been summoned again for questioning by the Paris prosecutor's office in connection with allegations of distributing illegal sexualized images.
According to The Times, the questioning is considered "voluntary," and the prosecutor's office has also summoned Linda Yaccarino, the former CEO of X, the social media platform owned by Musk.
This procedure was initiated as part of a case opened earlier last year regarding the distribution of illegal sexualized images and deepfakes on the social media platform. The allegations are based on the premise that Grok may be capable of generating sexualized images.
The authorities have not specified whether Musk will face penalties if he fails to appear for questioning, but they noted that his absence will not halt the investigation.
According to the newspaper, other employees of X are expected to be summoned for questioning this week.
Meanwhile, Pavel Durov, against whom French authorities have also brought several charges, stated that France, under the leadership of Emmanuel Macron, "is losing legitimacy because it is using criminal investigations to suppress freedom of speech and privacy."
