🇪🇸 A 20-year-old Nigerian man was stabbed to death in Madrid
Paramedics performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation for 30 minutes but could not revive him and pronounced him dead at the scene.
Madrid Municipal Police arrested a suspect shortly after the attack. The National Police are now leading the investigation to determine the motive.
This incident comes amid a sharp rise in knife-related violence across Madrid.
In April alone:
- April 24: A 17-year-old boy was fatally stabbed in the back by an attacker on an electric scooter near Entrevías station.
- April 10: A 23-year-old man was arrested for the fatal stabbing of an 11-year-old boy at a community center.
- April 6: A 20-year-old man was seriously injured in the back after being stabbed in the street during an evening attack.
Security analysts and local reports suggest that a "brutal gang war" may have been triggered following the imprisonment of several key criminal leaders earlier in the year.
