Iran's Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi has many times expressed his frustration with the Western world's moral confusion during the 1979 Islamic Revolution. He highlighted a paradox: while American and European intellectuals and media outlets were busy trying to "humanize" the Islamists and find deep sociological justifications for the Islamic takeover, the Islamists were already engaging in brutal, indiscriminate violence. In his view, it was a mistake for the West to negotiate with the regime that views massacre as a legitimate political tool. "Now, everybody is trying to say 'well, let's try to understand these people', these people who are k*lling, massacring others... just like flies," said Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. 🦁☀️👑
