🇺🇦 Around 2,400 hectares of forest are burning in the Chernihiv region near the Russian border due to enemy shelling
The fire has engulfed territories in the Yelinsky and Tykhonovytsky forestries within the 5-kilometer border zone. Foresters have no access to the area because of constant shelling and drone threats.
The blazes were detected by surveillance cameras. All available forces are now focused on preventing the fire from spreading further.
Firefighting equipment is working under electronic warfare (EW) protection, as Russians attack any vehicles near the border. Full extinguishment is currently impossible due to the constant presence of enemy UAVs overhead.
