🇵🇱 Polish President Karol Nawrocki has awarded the Order of the White Eagle, Poland’s highest and oldest state decoration, to freed political prisoner Andrzej Poczobut.
The award was given for his outstanding service to Poles in Belarus, his defense of human rights, and his unwavering resistance to totalitarian regimes.
The Order was formally conferred on Poczobut on November 11, 2025, but the presentation only took place now, after his release from prison.
Andrzej Poczobut was sentenced to 8 years in prison by Lukashenko’s regime in February 2023. He was freed on April 28, 2026, as part of a “5 for 5” prisoner exchange.
