BREAKING: Japanese PM Sanae Takaichi decides to ease the country’s restrictive rules on arms exports. The government has announced that the previous ban on exports had to be relaxed in order to stimulate the domestic defense industry. The export of some defensive equipment, such as mine sweepers and radars, has been allowed since Shinzo Abe changed the law in 2014 but the new guidelines will make it possible for allied countries to buy offensive weapons such fighter jets, cruise missiles and warships. Japan’s decision is great news for its allies in North America and Europe which have depleted weapon stocks after the wars in Ukraine and Iran, with their industrial capacity struggling to keep up with the demand for new short-term arms production 🇺🇸🇨🇦🇪🇺🇺🇦🇯🇵

A Takaichi já tá cansada de tanta restrição e liberou as armas pra o Japão exportar até caça e mísseis, né? Fica o receio de que isso vire só mais um negócio pra lucrar enquanto a região esquenta.
