🇵🇱 The number of Poles who want Poland to adopt the euro as its currency hits a record-low. The latest SW Research poll on the matter has only 22.1% of Poles saying that they want the euro, down from 23.3% last year. Around 60% of Poles were in favor of adopting the euro at the time Poland joined the EU in 2004 but the number has been steadily dropping since. Poland’s strong economic growth relative to the eurozone, a resilient złoty and memories of eurozone crises have reduced the will to adopt the euro as many view keeping monetary policy independence as advantageous
