Aseel al Najjar, an 11-year-old Palestinian girl, lost her left leg in an Israeli attack east of Khan Younis in Palestine’s Gaza. Despite repeated displacement and the lingering fear of war, she still dreams of returning to school, playing with her friends, and reclaiming the simple joys of childhood
