A music teacher came back one last time to his school in Tehran after it was destroyed in a drone attack to play amid the rubble, saying that the last sound he wanted to hear from the school “should be music, not bombs and missiles.”
Footage here, posted by Hamidreza Afarideh, shows him playing in his school in eastern Tehran, after it was hit by an Israeli strike in March.
According to CNN, an Israeli airstrike hit the building housing the music school, along with several other businesses including a maternity clinic, on March 23.
“This place wasn’t just a few rooms, doors, windows, and desks … This place was the very soul of my life … The memories of 250 students … The dedication and love of 22 teachers and colleagues,” he wrote about the school on Instagram
