The strike on Shajareh Tayyebeh Elementary School in Minab occurred on 28 February 2026, the first day of the US-Israeli war on Iran. A US Tomahawk missile hit the school, killing at least 175 people, including more than 100 children, mostly girls aged 7–12. Dozens more were injured
