A Paris court has found Lafarge, its former CEO Bruno Lafont, and several executives guilty of financing terrorism during the Syrian civil war. The court ruled that Lafarge paid around $6.5 million to terror groups between 2013 and 2014 to keep its cement plant in northern Syria operational— including nearly $1 million directly to terrorist organisations such as Daesh. Lafont was sentenced to six years in prison, while other executives also received jail terms
