Footage shared exclusively with TRT World by the PAL-Awda group shows NYPD officers arresting activists protesting the illegal sale of Palestinian land at a synagogue event in Manhattan.
“While people in power, including Mayor Zohran Mamdani, have noted the illegality of such events, these words ring hollow when the NYPD is brutalizing New Yorkers for standing up against them,” PAL-Awda said in a statement, adding that the police protected “Zionist counter-agitators.”
The organisation said the event violated international law and “openly promoted real estate on stolen Palestinian land, such as the Gush Etzion, Kfar Eldad and Karnei Shomron illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank”
