Israeli forces intercepted the Global Sumud Flotilla in international waters, surrounding the convoy and seizing 21 vessels, according to organisers. Around 175 activists, including Turkish nationals, were detained, while 17 boats managed to reach Greek waters.
The flotilla, carrying more than 400 civilians, aimed to break the blockade on Palestine’s Gaza and deliver humanitarian aid to the besieged enclave.
