US Vice President JD Vance on Friday, March 27, called the US conflict in Iran “short term,” when speaking with a podcaster on the situation in the Middle East.
President Trump extended the deadline he gave Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz to April 6, threatening to strike Iranian power stations and energy infrastructure if the global transit route is not made safe for the world’s oil and gas.
Amid reports that the Pentagon is preparing US troops for a potential weeks-long ground operation in Iran, Vance, acknowledging the rising gas prices at home, said “We’ll be out of there soon.”
