Very important step for nonprofit-funding transparency by @SecScottBessent. Fiscal sponsorships connect fledging c3s (that haven’t undergone compliance vetting) with established ones. Hypothetically, if you wanted to donate to an established charity — either because you’re a respectable institution, or because you’re relying on a DAF for anonymity — but wanted to fund some sort of militant street auxiliary activity that established charities maintain distance from, your donation might get funneled through a fiscal sponsorship.
So, we should make it very easy to see who’s fiscal-sponsoring whom.
