People of African descent are a key focus of the United Nations’ work on racial justice and equality, and anti-racism.
The systemic racism they face today is rooted in legacies of enslavement and colonialism. Across the world, people of African descent continue to face discrimination in all areas of life.
This week, we're hosting the 5th Permanent Forum on People of African Descent. It will bring together governments, experts, civil society, and communities from around the world to share experiences and advance solutions.
