Last Friday, I held good talks with European Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security @MarosSefcovic.
During our discussions, we addressed the new U.S.-EU Action Plan for Critical Minerals, as well as progress made on the 2025 EU-U.S. Joint Statement, including significant EU investments in American autos, pharmaceuticals, and energy. We also addressed shared priorities in regard to economic security, investment screening, and addressing risks from overcapacity production.
I emphasized the need to address Iran’s threat to the Strait of Hormuz and noted the U.S. @g20org Presidency’s focus on efforts to keep food and fertilizer supply chains well-functioning.
